Short Biography of Hans Braumüller
Hans Braumüller encompasses the art of painting, visual poetry, mail art, web and networking art projects. 1966 born in Chile, school education in Hamburg, Germany. 1991 Bachelor of Fine Arts, Universidad de Chile, Santiago. In Chile, from 1987 to 1992, he participates in the magazine and collective of young artists “La Preciosa Nativa”. From 1991 to 1992 he carries out the project 500 years of colonialism and genocide, an assemblage magazine with mail art and visual poetry. From 1992 to 1995 he develops his Help Me To Paint project by sending fragments of his painting: exchange by mail among more than 160 artists with multiple interventions. 1998 he founds the online art platform www.crosses.net, developing and documenting various projects such as mankind.crosses.net and corn.crosses.net. In 1998 he joins the international group of postal artists AUMA – Urgent Action Mail Art. In 2000, the networking art project “Cruces de la Tierra” (https://earth.crosses.net/) at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago de Chile, a tribute to all indigenous peoples. 2019 he publishes Artist Matter Zine #1, on visual poetry and mail art in collaboration with his global and local network partners.
